A little something extra
Books I’ve loved, carried with me, or simply can’t stop thinking about.
The book that made me fall in love with reading
I still remember thinking: there is absolutely no way a book can be better than Casi Ángeles. I was fourteen, very sure of myself — and completely wrong.

A friend handed me A Woman of Passion by Virginia Henley, almost like a challenge. Somewhere between Elizabeth’s ambition, desire, intelligence, heartbreak and refusal to accept the life she had been given, something clicked.
I fell in love with a character. I cried when I lost him. I discovered passion, ambition, sex, history — and, without realizing it, I discovered reading.
That book was my gateway drug. I never really stopped.
